Since 1992, Betty Marthaler has coordinated trips around the world for Lake Region Bank’s Good Neighbor Club. Even COVID couldn’t slow Betty down, who has club trips planned until 2023!
Betty was recently featured in the West Central Tribune for her service to the Good Neighbor Club. You can read the full article at www.wctrib.com. Here are some highlights.
Betty’s Led More Than 100 International Trips
With Betty at the helm, the Good Neighbor Club has taken more than 100 international trips. The club has visited Africa, Europe, South America, and Asia. The only continent still on Betty’s list is Antarctica.
Some of these international trips have included cruises. Betty’s no stranger to cruising, having organized at least 70 cruises for the Good Neighbor Club, including voyages in the Caribbean, Europe, and up the Snake and Columbia Rivers in the United States.
Other Trips Are Closer to Home
When not jet-setting, Betty is leading trips stateside, including excursions to New York City, the Kentucky Derby, and Alaska. She also leads trips into the Twin Cities to see the Twins play or take in a show. While COVID may have grounded her plans temporarily, Betty has trips planned for this year and well into 2023.
“I love what I do,” she explained to the West Central Tribune. “I just love it.”
