30 Years of Fun
In 1993, Lake Region Bank president Paul Vollan asked then part-time employee Betty Marthaler if she would be interested in moving to full-time to run the bank’s financial and travel club for customers age 50+. Betty said yes, and has enjoyed more than three decades of fun as the director of the Good Neighbor Club.
Since its inception, the club has offered its members ample opportunities to improve their financial know-how, meet new friends, and visit exciting destinations in Minnesota, the United States, and around the world. More than 1,000 Lake Region Bank customers have become part of the Good Neighbor Club since 1993. Today, more than 900 quarterly mailers go out to club members to share all the new opportunities Betty has organized for them.
30 Years of Memories
After 31 years, there are few places the Good Neighbor Club hasn’t been. Betty has arranged trips across Minnesota and around the world, creating three decades of memories and friendships. Join the Good Neighbor Club
The Good Neighbor Club can take you where you want to go with done-for-you tours exclusively for Good Neighbor Club members. Betty personally arranges domestic and international trips. Check destinations off your bucket list without worrying about your hotel, transportation, itinerary, or tour guide reservations. You’ll travel with fellow Good Neighbor Club members and make new friends.
Good Neighbor Club members also enjoy exclusive benefits at Lake Region Bank. They qualify for a Good Neighbor Club interest-bearing checking account and a free debit card. They can take advantage of free bank services, including money orders, notary services, and photocopies. Good Neighbor Club members are eligible for a discount on a safe deposit box, too.
In addition to these benefits Good Neighbor Club members can also make early withdrawals from Lake Region Bank certificates of deposits without paying a penalty if the funds are used to cover medical expenses.
