Lake Region Bank’s new online banking system has been live for nearly a month, and our customers are getting familiar with its updated features and enhanced security. This post answers common questions about logging in, making transfers, remote deposits, and navigating the system with confidence.
It’s been nearly a month since we launched our new online banking system. Thank you to everyone who has provided feedback and shared their experience logging in to their accounts for the first time!
Over the last few weeks, we’ve gotten lots of questions from customers about how to navigate the new system. Here are the most common questions our bankers have fielded. If your question doesn’t appear below, don’t hesitate to reach out to us.
How do I log into the new online banking system?
To log into your personal accounts in our new system, follow these steps.
- Go to lakeregion.com or search “Lake Region Bank” in your app store and download our mobile app.
- Type in your User ID and Password and click login. If you have forgotten your password, click the forgot password link to create a new one. If you have forgotten your User ID, please give us a call.
- Once you have entered your User ID and Password, you’ll be asked to authenticate yourself by sending yourself a text message, phone call or email with a one-time passcode.
- Type in the one-time passcode and continue.
Are you a business customer? You have your own set of instructions. You can find the business banking login instructions on our website.
I’ve logged into the new system. How do I make a transfer?
Once you have logged into the new online banking system, you can manage your accounts from your home computer or phone.
To make a transfer:
- Click on Transfers.
- Select the account you want to transfer money from and the account you want to transfer money to.
- Enter the amount you would like to transfer.
- Schedule the transfer. You can send the transfer immediately, on a future date, or set up recurring transfers.

Can I make a remote deposit with the new online banking system?

Of course! Follow these easy steps to make a remote deposit on our new system.
- Log into our mobile app on your phone.
- Click on the Menu button.
- Select Deposits.
- Select Deposit a Check.
- Select the account you’d like to deposit your check into and enter the amount of the check.
- Take a picture of the front and back of the check.
- Click Submit to submit your deposit.
What security features does the new online banking system have?
Online banking is safer than ever with the enhanced safety features of our new online banking system. Lake Region Bank’s new online system uses multifactor authentication (MFA) as an extra layer of protection. It is used to verify your identity when logging into online banking.
Instead of relying solely on a username and password, MFA requires a second form of verification. One common method is a one-time passcode (OTP). OTP is a unique code sent to you by text message, email, or an authentication app. The code is valid for only a short period of time and can be used only once.
This added security feature helps protect online banking accounts even if a password is stolen or guessed. Because you must also provide the one-time passcode, unauthorized users are much less likely to gain access. MFA with OTPs helps reduce the risk of fraud, identity theft, and unauthorized transactions, making online banking safer and more secure.

You will need to reestablish a few settings in the new system. These include alerts settings, card control settings, and external transfers.
How do I download the mobile app to make a remote deposit?
You can either follow the redirect from our current app to download the new one, or search “Lake Region Bank” in your app store and download it directly. Then simply log in with your existing credentials and delete the old app.
Can I still deposit checks using my phone?
Yes, you can make remote deposits through the mobile app by selecting “Deposit a Check,” entering the amount, and submitting photos of the check.
What security features does the new system include?
