Online & Mobile Banking Upgrade Timeline

Lake Region Bank’s online banking system is getting a major upgrade in mid-May, bringing a streamlined experience and enhanced security. This post walks you through the full timeline, from how to prepare before May 18 to what to expect when the new system and mobile app go live on May 20.

The Lake Region Bank online banking system will be getting a major update in mid-May with a streamlined user experience and enhanced security features. Here’s a timeline of what you can expect in May when we make this upgrade.

Before May 18: Prepare Your Accounts

Here are a few things to do before the system upgrade starts on May 18.

  1. Review and update your Lake Region Bank online banking profile to confirm it includes your current phone number and email address.
  2. Watch your email and current digital banking account for details on how to set up your upgraded online login and download the new mobile app.
  3. Save or print a copy of your external transfer history for your records before May 18.
  4. Download the Lake Region Bank mobile banking app once it becomes available.

May 18: Current System Shuts Down

On Monday, May 18 at 5:00 pm, the current Lake Region Bank online banking system will shut down. You will not have access to your accounts online or in the mobile app for approximately 40 hours between 5:00 pm on the 18th and when the new system is live at 8:00 am on May 20. Please contact us for account inquiries between May 18 and May 20.

May 20: New System Goes Online

On Wednesday, May 20 at 5:00 pm, the new and improved online banking system will be live. Most of your account details will be available and ready to use, including your transaction history, bill pay payee information, scheduled payments, internal transfers, and eStatement settings. Recurring internal transfers will also carry over.

A few of your settings will not transfer to the new system. This includes alerts and card control settings as well as external transfers and any history associated with your current external transfers.

Once you have logged into the new system on or after May 20:

  1. Review and edit your recurring internal transfers, if applicable.
  2. Set up external transfers, if applicable.
  3. Set up your alerts settings as you wish.
  4. Set up your card control settings as you wish.

Wondering how to log into your accounts after the update is live? Visit our online banking system webpage for detailed instructions. Click here to go to that page.

After May 20: Download the New Mobile Banking App

Our mobile banking app is also getting an update! Once the new system is live on May 20, you can access the Lake Region Bank mobile banking app in two ways:

1. Through Our Current Mobile Banking App

When you open our current app on or after May 20, you will be redirected to download the new app. Once downloaded, login with your existing User ID and Password as noted above, then delete the old app.

2. Direct Download

Search for Lake Region Bank in your device’s app store and download the new app. Login with your existing User ID and Password, as noted above. Once you’ve downloaded the new app, please delete the old one.

NOTE: If you previously used biometrics to login, you will need to reestablish this feature within the new app.

You can find more information about the update and how to prepare on our website or stop in at any Lake Region Bank location for additional details. We’re here to help you make the most of your new online banking experience.

Online Banking System Change FAQs

When will the new online and mobile banking system go live?

The upgrade will take place between Monday, May 18 and Wednesday, May 20. After that time, you can begin using the new online banking dashboard and mobile app.

Will my existing account information transfer to the new system?

Yes. Your transaction history, bill pay payees, scheduled payments, internal transfers, recurring internal transfers, and eStatement settings will carry over automatically.

Which items will not transfer to the new system?

You will need to reestablish a few settings in the new system. These include alerts settings, card control settings, and external transfers.

What do I need to do before May 18?

Please review your online banking profile to ensure your email and phone number are current, watch for setup instructions in your email, save any external transfer history you want to keep, and be prepared to download the new mobile banking app.

How do I log in for the first time after the upgrade?

Use your existing User ID and Password. You’ll receive a text or phone call with a one-time passcode to verify your identity, then enter that code to log in securely.

What if I forgot my User ID or Password?

If you need your User ID, contact us at 320-235-5900. If you need to reset your password, click “Forgot Password” on the login screen and follow the prompts.

How do I download the new mobile app?

On or after May 20, you can either follow the redirect from our current app to download the new one, or search “Lake Region Bank” in your app store and download it directly. Then simply log in with your existing credentials and delete the old app.

Will biometric login still work?

Yes, but you will need to re-enable biometrics (such as Face ID or fingerprint login) after you sign in to the new mobile app for the first time.
